Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. Saratoga Residents Directory does not keep a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you send a message, the contact mailbox receives the information needed to read and answer it.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record an IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps. Those ordinary server logs are reviewed in aggregate for site health and page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or, where enabled, advertising measurement.
How Limited Data Is Used
Technical data is used to operate the pages, resolve faults, understand traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual profiles are not built from the small amount of information described here.
Links to County and State Sources
Pages link to Santa Clara County portals, Saratoga City files, California lookups, libraries, archives, courts, and third-party search tools. The destination's privacy policy governs information submitted there. That is particularly important for sponsored results and other forms that a separate provider controls.
Service Providers and Legal Disclosure
Hosting, analytics, and advertising providers may process the technical data described above. Information may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it. No other routine disclosure of a visitor's message or logs is intended.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operating purposes stated here. There are no reader accounts, so this site does not hold a password or user profile that could be exposed.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from someone under 18. If a minor has sent information to the contact mailbox, use the Contact page so the message can be reviewed and deleted when appropriate.
Your California Data Rights
Where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., provides rights to know, access, correct, delete, opt out of sale or sharing, and limit certain uses of sensitive personal information held by covered businesses. The California privacy guidance explains those rights. Requests about information kept by this reference can be sent through the Contact page; the response may be limited because this site stores very little.
Government records are different. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., governs access to identifiable public records held by state and local custodians. Saratoga City, Santa Clara County, the courts, and California agencies control their own records. A deletion request to this reference cannot remove a deed, court file, voter record, or City document held by the original office.
